Alright, I think I'm done! Add a piercing just for shits and... yep, she looks good. So as you can see I ended up drifting pretty far from the original artwork, but that's alright. She's different enough that I can claim her as my own creation, or at least say "inspired by" and not "blatantly ripped off from" that original Elena character... whoever the fuck she is.
